About Walker & Royce
Sam Walker & Gavin Royce, hailing from New York City, have been crafting their emotive, subdued, and groove-laden house music since 2011. Their collaboration began when the two, already acquainted from their shared experiences in the dance scene, decided to join forces in 2011. Their talent quickly caught the attention of Damian Lazarus, head of Crosstown Rebels, who took note of one of their earliest releases. This led to the creation of the "You're Not Welcome" EP under Crosstown Rebels, propelling Walker & Royce into the spotlight of the dance music world.
Simultaneously, Walker & Royce gained acclaim with their track "Connected" released on OFF Recordings, which swiftly became a house anthem, frequently featured in Solomun's performances. This success paved the way for the duo to explore a diverse range of sounds. Their EP "Sister" on Moda Black earned recognition as Pete Tong's Essential New Tune, while their remix of Baunz’ “Out the Window” on Pets Recordings garnered support from numerous electronic music heavyweights.
More recently, Walker & Royce have made significant strides by joining Claude Vonstroke’s renowned Dirtybird Records with the "Boy" EP and "Hit Dem Draws," as well as Green Velvet’s esteemed Relief Records with their chart-topping release "Peep This Cat" and "3 4 Shake It" alongside Dirtybird artist Will Clarke.
With their distinct sound firmly established, Walker & Royce’s music has found its way into the sets of top DJs worldwide, from Sasha to Adam Beyer, Maceo Plex to Gorgon City, and Eats Everything to Locodice. They continue to defy genre boundaries and captivate audiences across the globe.
